Full course description

Optimal palliative care must include supportive nutrition as applied within the palliative care context. Inherent to such an approach are principles of integrative medicine that enable a holistic approach to care that recognizes the relationships between nutrition, health, and disease. This course provides both an overview and a deeper discussion of these topics, as well as the importance of Food Story, the role of cultural and spiritual traditions in nutrition, the impact of food quality, and how social determinants of health may impact access to healthy food options.
